The sweetness of relief is upon me. Today is the first day of endless opportunity. OOOH that’s cheesy. Love it. As we get further from the situation I’ve left behind, I will tell you more about it, because I want to talk and you want to hear it. I was in an extremely tricky professional situation. It’s one I know many of you find yourselves in, although I doubt any of your situations were exactly like mine. Basically, I want to remind everyone that work is hard, but when there’s a situation making it impossible for you to be successful at what you set out to do, and it even starts to effect your overall well-being, you owe it to yourself and your family to seek other opportunities. You’ll be surprised at what you can find, who will reach out to help, and how much better you will feel once you land in a spot that’s healthier and a better fit.
In the near future, I’ll be writing a series about the workplace with a specific focus on Millennials. As one myself, I’m quite aware of the bad rap we get, the struggles we face, and sure- the weaknesses we have to own up to. With a winding professional path, I truly feel like I’ve experienced it ALL- the good, the bad, and the ugly. I would love to share some of the things I’ve learned along the way. If I can help to empower someone even in the slightest, I’m a happy lady.
So now, we look at the future. It’s a blank slate of possibilities. Again with the cheese-fest… but I’m not sorry. It feels good to feel good again.
