Young Buffalo Introduces… Anthony Sieber

Meet Anthony. Age 26. Cheektowaga, New York. Marketing Manager.

What is your favorite thing about living and working in Western New York?

I love living and working in WNY because it’s where my family and friends are. Also, there seems to be more of a promising future each and every year with new businesses coming into the area, such as Solar City. Elon Musk is the man!

You were raised a suburbanite, and still live in the suburbs. What influenced your decision to live outside of city limits, and why?

I think you can enjoy all parts of WNY no matter where you live. I love that everything is a short drive away. You can go from the city to the country in 30 minutes,

How did you end up in your career, and what is fulfilling about your job?

I lost my job in January and was lucky enough to land a job at Taverna Productions and Media in March. With this new position I am able to focus on my passion for marketing. The most fulfilling thing about my job is that I get to work with local businesses to create their marketing campaigns. Each day I get to learn more about businesses and the people in my region.

What is something you’d like to see happen in Western New York in the next 5-10 years?

I would like to see WNY become the hub for clean energy. I would like to see solar panel streets. We need a reason to bring more jobs and families to the city. Clean and cheap energy will attract all kinds of new people.

What advice would you give to other young professionals in Western New York looking to build their success, network, or workplace confidence?

Success is all about who you surround yourself with. Networking is the best way to meet new people! You can find networking opportunities all over the place. Make time for your future and reach out to those around you. As far as workplace confidence, the number one thing is to always remember is to learn and grow, and your confidence will grow, too.

What is one thing that few people know about you?

I have a goal wall in my apartment and am trying to reach each goal before the end of the year.
