Happy Hour – Drunk at Disney

Happy Friday! It’s been a crazy, emotional few weeks, and today we head back to Halifax for the final countdown, only about 6-7 weeks to go. I’m not entirely sure why life brought us to the Maritimes this year, but it’s definitely been interesting, and an experience we’ll never forget. For me, the last 6 weeks means:

  • Fat camp. That’s my fun way of saying, health is my only priority. I would love nothing more than to return to the US with my routine and lifestyle set in stone, so I can keep heading for that ultimate goal.
  • Yoga. I have missed my Moksha Yoga class so, so badly while we’ve been away. Not to mention all of those Canadian dollaz being flushed down the drain with my pre-purchased VIP package. Yoga most days, and I can’t wait.
  • Getting off sugar and wheat again. I did okay for a while there in Michigan, because it was the only thing I felt I had control over, but give me 10 minutes in Buffalo and I’m making all kinds of stomach pain-inducing bad choices.
  • Also, no more alcohol. There’s no good reason to hit the bottle until summer, anyways. Except for today. Flying = booze, there’s no way around it.

And then what are we going to do? WE’RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! Haha. And I’ll leave you with that happy thought.

Disney is practically begging us to imbibe.

Have you ever done a cleanse? I’m not man enough. Once I did 2 juice meals and that was about all I could handle. I can’t wait to go through Epcot and drink at all the countries. My 12 year old self could have never imagined that being enjoyable.

Ohh my goodness. I can’t believe you lost so much weight! That’s awesome. Have you found any of it has crept back on as you incorporated regular food into your diet? I am all about detox water, but the maple syrup thing eeks me out. I hate that stuff.

I get to points where I feel desperate to lose the weight I’ve put on, and want to do something like this, but then I chicken out/know that I really need a true lifestyle change so this doesn’t happen again. I’ve formed some nasty habits over the last year or 2.

This time I lost 15 and kept it off. At least so far. Learned I don’t need to eat as much as I used to. Very very easy step I can take is force yourself to drink a 8oz of water at the top if every hour. At that point won’t matter what you eat, you just won’t eat as much.

That’s just a great habit to create no matter what. I have been working on my water consumption, but I usually try to do it all at once in my giant WW mug.. suck it down, suck it down. Spreading it out make way more sense though.
