Emmy Sunday With Football-Related Depression, Katy Perry, and Tea

What better time, than when the Buffalo Bills are getting their asses handed to them during halftime, to shoot a quick blog.  I’ll make it quick because I’m considering live-sampling the Emmys.  We’ll see how motivated I am after my fish taco feast.  Yep, still living off the fresh catch we picked up yesterday.  It was so. delicious.

Other topics on my mind today include my determination to beat every person on my Fitbit list this week.  Except for one.  She knows who she is, and she’s unnaturally dedicated to overstepping us all.  But hey, baby steps (intended.)  Though we don’t have a scale at the happy lake house, I do know we’re already feeling better, just eating more wholesome food once again.

With that in mind…

SUNDAY HELPINGS

Emmys 2013: Who Should Win vs Who Will Win (CNN) – The Emmys are my second favorite awards ceremony, after the Golden Globes, because at the GG’s, everyone is wasted, the entire time.  The Emmys are at least about my favorite pasttime: TV.  Now that I have Game of Thrones under my belt and am a Breaking Bad freshman, I have even MORE THAN EVER invested in this night.  OMG.

How to Get 10,000 Steps in Your Day (Fitness Magazine) – My big plan was to be on offense whenever the Bills were, jogging in place or whatever it takes to get the big 10,000 every day this week.  The plan backfired when the BIlls couldn’t keep themselves on offense for more than a few minutes at a time.  Idiots.  If I don’t reach my goal this week, it will clearly be their fault.

Best Tea Flavors of Fall (Teamuse) – First of all, I love that this lady has a whole blog about tea.  Good for her.  Secondly, tea is my favorite nighttime “snack” when I’m being on my best behavior.  It makes me feel like I’m actually doing something instead of crankily sipping on regular, boring water.  A favorite phrase of mine and my cousin’s is, “eating tea.”  Say it.  It will make you feel good.

Cincinnati Bengals Ditch Katy Perry Theme Song (Yardbarker) – Haha.  C’mon guys.  You are GUYS.  I admit, I heard ‘Roar’ on one of the NFL transitions to commercial last week during some game and thought, “Hm.  That’s kind of girly.”  Despite my best efforts, I like the song (for now, for workout purposes only,) but really Bengals?
